Will A.D.A.M., Inc.'s software products run on Windows XP?

Yes, all of the software products developed by A.D.A.M .are compatible to run on Windows XP, if the following instructions are performed:

• Install the software as described, even if the system requirements are not listed.

• Continue through the install process until the installation is completed.

• Install all viewers, including Quicktime or Adobe Acrobat Reader.

• Keep the latest version in your system and Run a test at the end, if required.

• The executable files for the program will be listed in the Programs folder (START: PROGRAMS)

• Find the program of choice (program's icon) in the programs folder, (samples: adam.exe; practice;exe; inside.exe, etc) and right mouse click on the highlighted executable file; select Properties;

• In Properties, select; Compatibility Mode; within the Compatibility Mode, select Win 95 or 98 and disable all visual themes by XP.

Go to START ; PROGRAMS and select the A.D.A.M. program (Interactive Anatomy; Anatomy Practice, Inside Story, etc), and run it normally. (Important: You will need the CD inserted in the drive)

If the program fails to run, try this:

• Press the CTRL, ALT, DELETE buttons simultaneously on your key board to bring up the Task Manager.

• Within the Task Manager, select the Applications tab. You may End Processes and also select the Processes to end the program you are unable to terminate normally.

To RUN the program from the Task Manager:

In the applications tab, select NEW PROCESS (lower right corner), then select BROWSE; Look in the C drive;

Within the C drive, find the PROGRAMS folder; All A.D.A.M. executable files are listed in that folder. To list a few of them:

• ADAM.EXE

• PRACTICE.EXE

• INSIDE.EXE

• MIRACLE.EXE

• PHYSIOLOGY.EXE

Select OPEN upon selecting one of the files above.
