Employers can choose from two types of dependent audits:

  • Employee Attestation Audit – In this case, each employee is required to verify and certify in writing that his/her covered dependent(s) are eligible.
  • Proof of Eligibility Audit – This is a more robust process and requires employees to submit documented proof of eligibility.

The Benergy Dependent Audit process includes a series of communications sent to employees along with a toll-free helpline, so that employees can talk with a trained expert who can help them understand and respond to dependent eligibility requirements. In addition, we can provide a communications portal including an overview of the dependent audit process, plan eligibility information, documentation requirements, and other information. After an eligibility audit is conducted, employers will receive a complete report of the audit results.
