Q: What are your goals for the Client Services Department? A: The goal of our Client Services team is to provide an unparalleled customer service experience. With so many moving parts in the technology arena, it’s important that we walk side-by-side with the customer to make sure they have a positive experience and achieve the results that they set out to accomplish. Q: What client services developments should current clients expect from A.D.A.M. in 2012? A: One of our client services goals this year is to make all of the great tools that we have available to help our customers implement and market A.D.A.M. Health Solutions easy to use and find. We have a tremendous amount of resources designed to help our clients; it’s just a matter of getting the right information at the right time. Part of this will be a new support site where customers will have easy access to technical and marketing information that will hopefully make their lives easier. Additionally, there will also be a feedback section in the support site which will allow for feedback which will go directly to the product development and editorial departments. Q: Can you tell us about your philosophy towards creating the right client experience? A: With more than 15 years of client relationship management and consultative sales experience, I have in-depth insights into what works and does not work in both the clinical and marketing spaces. Since I also have a technology background, I know how important it is to communicate sometimes very technical product terminology in a way that anyone can understand it. This translates into easier and smoother processes that will help our clients get up and running faster. It’s all about making our clients’ experience with A.D.A.M. as effortless as possible. Q: Can you talk about A.D.A.M.’s vision of helping clients enhance the 360 degree patient experience? A: A.D.A.M.’s vision of helping our clients enhance the 360 degree patient experience means providing the quality health content and innovative products to help them touch consumers and patients at every point in the continuum of care. From home, pre-op, post-op, in-patient, discharge, to post-discharge, it is our goal to help hospitals and healthcare organizations attract new patients, engage and inform them to make smart health decisions, and connect them to their doctors and services.
HON Certification Renewed As the provider of the world’s largest, most reliable, continually enhanced online consumer health libraries, we are pleased to announce that A.D.A.M. Health Solutions has renewed its HONcode certification. The HONcode is the oldest and the most used ethical and trustworthy code for medical and health related information available on Internet. Currently the HONcode is used by more than 7,300 certified websites, more than 10 million pages, covering 102 countries. A certified site receives a check-up visit periodically, beginning one year after the initial certification, to ensure the delivery of quality, objective and transparent health and medical information.
Did You Know? The rate of knee replacement procedures has doubled in the past decade, and more than 4.5 million people in the U.S. have had the surgery, according to a study presented at a meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Researchers reported that 4.7% of adults 50 and older have had the surgery compared with 10% of those age 80 and older, but the greatest increase in procedures occurred among younger adults. Osteoarthritis was the primary reason for the surgery.
